Jack and George have tantrums. Generally not at the same time - indeed, while one is throwing a wobbly, the other is not just being good, but being the kind of good which one imagines angels would exude if they were decanted into the bodies to three and a half year olds.

Anyway, this is a (by no means exclusive) list of the recent topics which have provoked tears and tantrums:

• The wrong coloured sweet
• Being able to sit by Granny on the plane
• Not being able to sit by Granny on the plane
• Plastic bag being put in the bin
• Instructions for new toy being folded up
• Wanting to be picked up off the floor
• Wanting "that" piece of paper rather than "this" one
• Not wanting to go to bed (frequent!)
• Not wanting to go to sleep
• Not wanting to get up
